Welcome to Francisco Toscano's Page
First of all, thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I usually have a hard time asking for help and/or asking for money, as that is the way I was brought up: to be independent and self-reliant. However, this time is different, as this is not for my personal gain, but for something much bigger than me.
It was until I joined the New York City Gay Men's Chorus that my eyes were really opened to the reality of the hardships and struggles that our LGBTQ community has had to endure for years; it is not the same to read or see documentaries about it than having people you care about tell you their story. I have met people who have been living with AIDS for years along with activists that with their energy, commitment, passion and voice have inspired me to join these efforts for a better tomorrow. A task of these dimensions and relevance cannot be undertaken alone.
That has given the motivation to march. I march because I have witnessed that the power of united citizens can move mountains. I also do it because, we all now know that any of us, despite of sexual orientation, can get infected; literally anybody. AIDS must be a concern to all of us. So yes, even for those of you that are reading this message and you don´t consider yourself as part of the LGBTQ community, this concerns to you too...
Please show your support by making a donation here to AIDS Walk New York, for a better future for everybody! Every donation counts, so if you only have a couple of dollars, it is good, just please donate :-)
Thank you so much for your support, not only to this campaign, but also for a better world for all of us!
