This year we celebrate 50 Years after Stonewall and I am reminded of all my friends who did not live to see it. Most importantly, those Xavier family members who did not die during the crisis but lived with HIV/AIDS and died of HIV/AIDS compromised deaths. Having cancer is bad enough but if you add immunity deficiency to the mix you have reduced your survival by at least half.

There has been great progress made in combating AIDS but your contribution helps those people living with the disease. Our goal has always been “GET TO ZERO”. The AIDS Walk Team at Xavier will not stop until that is true.

Please remember and pray for those we have lost, those who will still certainly die and everyone who lives with HIV/AIDS.
