The past year has certainly been a challenging one. The New York City AIDS Memorial was dedicated in December 2016 as a place for New Yorkers to REMEMBER, REFLECT, and RENEW, and I am thankful to have such a wonderful and sacred space to do just that today. We also have been proud to launch programs both on-site and online over the last 12 months that help illuminate the history and future of the epidemic, using the lessons of the past to help guide us today.
Since June 2019, I have been privileged to be the Executive Director of the New York City AIDS Memorial, which honors the more than 100,000 New Yorkers lost to AIDS and preserve the history of the activists and caregivers who changed the trajectory of the crisis.
Like last year, I am leading the New York City AIDS Memorial team at AIDS Walk NY on May 16, 2021. We have set a team goal this year of $15,000! Like many things in our lives today, the walk will again be virtual this year but remains vital to the lives of New York City's AIDS Service Organizations. Please consider joining our team or making a donation to support the New York City AIDS Memorial!
