PLEASE HELP FRANCINE GOLDSTEIN KEEP A PROMISE SHE MADE 29 YEARS AGO
Twenty-nine years ago my closest friend was diagnosed with AIDS. Very little was available to help her and she lived for only two and a half years. We saw her every week until she died. I promised her that I would do everything that I could to make sure that no one else would have to suffer the way that she did. I am still keeping that promise to her. Over that time I have raised more than $505,000.00 to help people afflicted with HIV/AIDS, and was presented with a proclamation from the New York City Council in 2015 for my fundraising. In 2016 I received the "Humanitarian of the Year Award" from the Nassau County Legislature. MY GOAL THIS YEAR IS TO REACH $550,000.00. PLEASE HELP ME TO GET THERE. GMHC helps more than 10,000 individuals and families each year who are coping with this terrible disease. I try very hard to keep the memory of my friend alive, but I would not have been so successful over the years if it were not for the generosity of my network of supporters who have made it all possible. They are the real heroes in this story. Thank you for helping me to keep that promise that I made so long ago.
